Brandenburg Business Trip to Beijing and Shanghai

Ladies and gentlemen,

it gives me particular pleasure to once again be accompanying a Brandenburg business delegation to the People’s Republic of China in 2026.

I am very keen to see for myself the dynamism of Chinese innovation on the ground, in order to further develop my understanding of the potential for cooperation between Europe and China. Economic exchange transforms individual action into collective benefit and social progress.

After all, the German capital region, which I represent, offers Chinese stakeholders numerous opportunities – for investment, for cooperation, for mutually beneficial business ventures and, not least, as a place of work. We combine a central location in the heart of Europe with state-of-the-art infrastructure, a world-class research landscape and the high quality of German vocational training. The Economic Development Agency Brandenburg (WFBB) has many years’ experience and particularly strong expertise in supporting Chinese prospective partners. It acts as a one-stop agency for enquiries of all kinds.

The Brandenburg-based companies accompanying me wish to deepen existing contacts and establish new ones. They represent innovative product ideas ‘Made in Germany’ and are convinced of their potential for the Chinese market. At the same time, however, they are also seeking partnerships with technology leaders from China who want to bring their ideas to German and European markets.

I wish the businesses from both regions a fruitful exchange. Let us discover the strengths of our economies together! And let us use this knowledge to seize the opportunities for deeper cooperation.
