THINKITTECH LTD is a UK engineering and software company based at Sci-Tech Daresbury. We develop AMSynchro, a digital assurance platform for metal additive manufacturing and other high-value, regulated supply chains.
What problem are we addressing?
Metal additive manufacturing depends on reliable evidence about powders, parts, builds, suppliers, inspections and material-handling events. In many organisations, this evidence remains split between certificates, spreadsheets, laboratory systems, machine records and manual operator decisions.
AMSynchro connects these sources into a reviewable digital thread. It combines material genealogy and chain-of-custody records with IoT condition monitoring, time and location evidence, risk-based quality signals and audit-ready reporting.
Our initial product focus is the lifecycle of metal powders during receipt, storage, transport, use, reuse, blending, recovery and disposal. The aim is to help manufacturers:
-
identify risks earlier;
-
make better-informed qualification and handling decisions;
-
reduce avoidable scrap and rework;
-
support controlled material reuse; and
-
strengthen supply-chain assurance.
The platform complements existing MES, ERP, PLM, LIMS and certification processes, rather than replacing them.
Technology maturity
AMSynchro has been developed through European Space Agency (ESA) and UK Space Agency (UKSA)-supported activities. The current pilot-ready baseline includes a deployed multi-tenant platform, proof-of-concept monitored containers, environmental and condition monitoring, genealogy and custody workflows, warning logic, dashboards and evidence outputs.
The architecture is designed for cloud, hybrid, on-premise and future air-gapped deployment routes. A UK patent application has been filed for elements of the monitoring approach.
UK–Singapore collaboration opportunity
For UK-Singapore CRD 2026, we want to form a balanced industrial R&D partnership combining advanced manufacturing with AI, cybersecurity, sensing and secure connectivity.
Potential areas of collaboration include:
-
industrial validation in metal additive manufacturing or another advanced-manufacturing process;
-
advanced sensors, embedded systems, edge intelligence and secure communications;
-
AI and machine learning for material-condition, degradation and process-risk prediction;
-
trusted digital threads and integration with manufacturing and laboratory systems;
-
circular manufacturing, material reuse and resilient cross-border supply chains; and
-
adaptation to other high-value materials or regulated applications where condition, identity and custody must be proven.
Partner sought
We are looking primarily for a Singapore-registered business able to apply through Enterprise Singapore and make a meaningful technical and commercial contribution.
Relevant partners may include manufacturers, additive-manufacturing service providers, materials companies, industrial IoT or sensor developers, AI and data companies, secure-connectivity providers, and logistics or supply-chain specialists. Singapore research organisations could also complement the consortium where appropriate.
What THINKITTECH can contribute
THINKITTECH can contribute:
-
the AMSynchro software and assurance architecture;
-
material genealogy, chain-of-custody and provenance capabilities;
-
IoT and sensor integration;
-
AI development;
-
cybersecurity-aware system design; and
-
experience converting industrial requirements into deployable products.
We are particularly interested in partners that can provide a strong industrial use case, validation facilities or datasets, complementary technology, access to customers and a credible route to commercialisation in Singapore, the UK and wider international markets.
