About
Our expertise
THINKITTECH LTD develops digital assurance technology for high-value and regulated manufacturing. Our core platform, AMSynchro, connects material identity, genealogy, chain of custody, physical condition and process history into a reviewable digital thread.
The technology is initially focused on metal additive manufacturing, where powders may pass through receipt, storage, transport, use, reuse, sieving, blending, recovery and disposal. Information about these events is often fragmented across certificates, spreadsheets, laboratory systems, machine records, sensors and operator decisions.
We combine these sources to help manufacturers establish what material they have, where it has been, how it has been handled, whether its condition may have changed and what evidence supports the next operational or quality decision.
Capabilities we can contribute
-
material genealogy covering receipt, storage, movement, use, reuse, blending, splitting, recovery and disposal;
-
chain-of-custody, provenance and time-and-location evidence;
-
IoT sensing and integration for environmental, condition and handling data;
-
digital-thread architecture connecting materials, equipment, processes, inspections and decisions;
-
AI and data analytics for condition assessment, emerging-risk identification and predictive decision support;
-
configurable acceptance, warning, quarantine and review workflows;
-
audit-ready records and evidence packs;
-
integration with MES, ERP, PLM, LIMS, laboratory, machine and supplier systems;
-
cybersecurity-aware cloud, hybrid, on-premise and future air-gapped deployment; and
-
industrial pilot design, validation planning and conversion of operational requirements into deployable software.
Technology foundation
AMSynchro has been advanced through European Space Agency and UK Space Agency-supported activities. The existing foundation includes a deployed multi-tenant software platform, proof-of-concept monitored containers, environmental and condition telemetry, genealogy and custody workflows, warning logic, dashboards and evidence outputs.
A UK patent application has been filed for elements of the monitoring approach. The next stage is industrial co-development and validation with manufacturers and complementary technology partners.
Potential applications
Our expertise is relevant to projects involving:
-
metal additive manufacturing and powder lifecycle management;
-
aerospace, space, defence and precision engineering;
-
advanced materials and high-value manufacturing;
-
industrial IoT, embedded sensing and edge intelligence;
-
circular manufacturing and controlled material reuse;
-
resilient and traceable cross-border supply chains; and
-
other regulated applications where identity, condition, custody and evidence must remain connected.
The underlying assurance architecture can also be adapted to other high-value materials, components or controlled assets where conventional tracking records alone do not provide sufficient evidence of fitness for use.
Contribution to collaborative R&D
THINKITTECH can participate as a substantive technology and R&D partner, contributing software architecture, industrial workflows, IoT and sensor integration, AI/data engineering, systems integration, cybersecurity-aware design and commercial product development.
We are particularly suited to collaborations where another partner contributes an industrial use case, validation environment, complementary sensing or manufacturing technology, relevant datasets, domain expertise or access to customers.
Our objective is not simply to supply a standalone tracking system. We aim to jointly develop interoperable, industrially validated capabilities that improve quality decisions, reduce avoidable waste and rework, support controlled material reuse and strengthen confidence in manufacturing and supply-chain evidence.
