Root Istanbul is a technology-driven project development and export company focused on Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA), sustainable food production and resource-efficient agricultural infrastructure.

We develop integrated, turnkey CEA facilities that combine agricultural engineering with mechanical systems, climate control, hydroponics, fertigation, water recirculation, sensor-based monitoring and digital automation. Our solutions are designed to help growers and investors produce high-quality crops in controlled conditions with reliable, traceable and data-driven operations. Depending on the crop and production model, our systems can support pesticide-free production and reduce water consumption by up to 95% compared with conventional agriculture.

Our role covers the full project cycle: opportunity assessment, feasibility studies, facility design, technology selection, engineering coordination, installation, commercial development, facility sales and export-market implementation. We work with investors, growers, technology providers, public institutions, research organisations and food-sector partners to create scalable CEA projects suited to local climate, market and operational conditions.

Root Istanbul’s objective is to export practical, commercially viable agricultural technologies and establish facilities that strengthen food security, reduce resource use and support low-carbon production. We see CEA not only as an agricultural solution, but also as an intersection of clean technology, digitalisation, water efficiency, energy optimisation and resilient supply chains.

We are particularly interested in international collaborations involving greenhouse and vertical-farming technologies, industrial water management, renewable energy, automation, agricultural data platforms, research and innovation projects, pilot facilities and market deployment. In Finland and across Europe, we seek to cooperate with investors, clean-technology companies, water and energy specialists, research institutions, municipalities and food buyers to develop, validate and scale next-generation controlled-environment food production systems.
