Thyra Imaging

Thyra Imaging is a MedTech spin-off from the Medical University of Vienna developing a next-generation retinal imaging platform based on adaptive optics, a technology originating from astronomy, and optical coherence tomography (OCT), an established imaging modality in ophthalmology. Our system enables rapid, non-invasive, and repeatable visualization of retinal microstructures and cells at unprecedented resolution. By integrating AI-powered image analysis with cloud-based data processing, we make this information accessible not only for ophthalmology, but also for neurology and the study of systemic diseases. Our goal is to bridge cutting-edge research and clinical practice by enabling the discovery of novel biomarkers for diseases such as Alzheimer's and supporting the development of next-generation therapies.
