Honeybee Genetics & Conservation – From DNA to Sustainable Beekeeping
I’m a PhD researcher

About
Bees don’t have a voice — but their DNA tells stories.
I am a PhD researcher dedicated to decoding those stories. For over six years, I have worked on the population genetics of Apis mellifera, investigating mitochondrial DNA diversity, population structure, and the genetic basis of local adaptation. My research combines field sampling, molecular tools (PCR, RFLP, sequencing), and advanced statistical analysis in R to answer a pressing question: how can we conserve and breed bees that are resilient, productive, and perfectly suited to their environment?
My work has been published in peer‑reviewed journals and compiled into a scientific book on honeybee mtDNA. I have presented my findings at international conferences from Krakow to Rome, and I collaborate with the global COLOSS network to combat colony losses.
As an expert, I can offer:
-
Genetic diversity assessments for regional bee populations
-
Training in molecular techniques and genomic data interpretation
-
Science‑based advice on sustainable breeding and conservation strategies
-
Engaging talks, workshops, and educational content for beekeepers, students, and the public
-
Support in project design, data analysis, and scientific writing
I believe that the future of beekeeping lies in understanding what makes local bees special — and protecting that uniqueness. Whether you are a beekeeper facing unexplained colony losses, a researcher starting a population genetics project, or an organisation looking to train your team in honeybee conservation, I can provide the expertise you need.
Let’s work together to keep honeybees healthy, diverse, and thriving.
