NEW: Call for Joint PhD Projects
The Talent H2 CAT-BW call for the selection of 40 Joint PhD Projects will open in September 2026 and will close on October 2026.
The call will select 40 Joint PhD Projects, each jointly led by a Coordinator from one region and a Co-Coordinator from a partner institution in the other region. 20 projects will be coordinated by institutions in Catalonia and 20 by institutions in Baden-Württemberg. Once the 40 Joint PhD Projects have been selected, a second stage will be opened to select 40 doctoral fellows, one for each Joint PhD Project
To allow applicants sufficient time to prepare their proposals, the key call documents are made available in advance. We strongly encourage applicants to familiarise themselves with these two documents and begin preparing their proposals before the call opens for submission. The documents that you will find in this section are as follows:
-
Regulatory Guidelines Draft (PDF)
The Regulatory Guidelines Draft will constitute the official and legally binding framework governing the TALENT H2 CAT-BW call. They set out all the legal provisions applicable to the programme, including the eligibility conditions, selection procedure, funding rules, rights and obligations of the participating institutions, and other regulatory requirements.
-
Guide for Applicants (PDF)
The Guide for Applicants has been prepared to facilitate the understanding of the Regulatory Guidelines and to support applicants throughout the preparation of their proposals. While the Regulatory Guidelines constitute the official legal document, the Guide for Applicants provides practical explanations, guidance and recommendations in a more accessible format, helping applicants interpret the requirements of the call and prepare a complete proposal.
-
Application Template
The Application Template, included as an annex to the Guide for Applicants, is a provisional version of the document that will be used to prepare and submit proposals.
-
Information Day: An online Information Day will be held on September 2026.
Questions: For any questions regarding the call or the application process, please contact the TALENT H2 CAT-BW Coordination Team at: Talenth2catbw@gencat.cat
Welcome to the Talent H2 CAT–BW Matchmaking Platform!
A dedicated space for researchers and institutions from Catalonia and Baden-Württemberg to connect, exchange interests and develop joint PhD project proposals in the field of hydrogen.
The Talent H2 CAT–BW Matchmaking Platform aims to connect researchers and research-performing organisations from Catalonia and Baden-Württemberg interested in developing joint PhD project proposals in the field of hydrogen. Through this space, institutions can share their areas of interest, identify complementary expertise, and initiate partnerships for the Talent H2 CAT–BW doctoral programme.
The platform also supports broader scientific cooperation beyond the programme itself. Research groups from both regions may use it to explore additional joint initiatives, and third-party organisations interested in participating as associated partners are equally welcome to join.
We invite institutions to register their profiles and post topic proposals. The information provided will facilitate efficient partner matching and support the creation of high-quality, interregional PhD projects.
