Professor and Researcher at University of São Paulo

About
The Advanced Studies Group on Health Information and Technology with a Focus on Vulnerable Populations brings together scientists, professionals, students, institutions, and community representatives concerned with providing vulnerable populations with access to quality information through information and communication technologies appropriate and necessary for each context. Its objectives encompass the study of the health information ecosystem, including the production, search, selection, dissemination, and use of health information with a population-based focus, prioritizing people facing social, economic, or environmental disadvantages, such as people living in poverty, children, the elderly, indigenous populations, immigrants, refugees, patients with chronic conditions and rare diseases, and people facing adverse situations resulting from cultural, social, economic, or geographic conditions. Given the close relationship between information content and its support, the group also prioritizes the study of information and communication technologies that can optimize the list of information processes listed. https://rp.iea.usp.br/pesquisa/grupo-de-estudo/grupo-de-estudos-avancados-emtecnologia-e-informacao-em-saude-com-foco-em-populacoes-vulneraveis-confluencia/
