Investors in cleantech meet start-ups: reverse pitching session
As part of Sustainable Solutions Match 2026, NRW.Bank (DE), Bavarian Research Alliance (DE), FIT Agency (BE) and Wallonie Entreprendre with Euroquity Belgium (BE) are pleased to co-organize a unique reverse pitching session dedicated to clean & green technologies. Within the dynamic ecosystem of the Enterprise Europe Network, this innovative format turns the traditional pitching model upside down: this time, investors take the stage.
During this session, European venture capital funds, corporate investors, and impact funds will present their investment focus, expectations, and strategies for supporting sustainable innovation across Europe. Instead of pitching to investors, start-ups will discover first-hand what types of technologies & business models attract private funding today.
Key investment areas include renewable and low-carbon energy (solar, wind, hydrogen, bioenergy), circular economy & advanced recycling technologies, sustainable materials and eco-construction, water, waste and resource management innovations, as well as smart energy, storage, and mobility solutions.
This format offers start-ups and scale-ups a unique opportunity to understand how to align with the sustainability goals and funding strategies of European investors. It directly supports the objectives of the European Green Deal, the Net Zero Industry Act, and the Fit for 55 package, which together drive market demand, simplify clean tech project deployment, and channel both public and private capital into strategic net-zero sectors.
The ultimate goal: to foster new investor–founder connections and accelerate the scale-up of European clean tech. The session targets clean & green tech start-ups, venture and impact investors, and innovation agencies or accelerators committed to sustainability-driven entrepreneurship.
Speakers: Nivedita Mahida-Königsdörfer, An Meers, Wim Pappaert, Laurent Lognay
