Innovative pathways to reduce fibre and microplastic dispersion from the textile life cycle

Track:Pitching session

Microplastics and textile fibers pose increasing threats to ecosystems and human health. This session focuses on innovations that reduce pollutant release across textile production, use, and disposal. Pitches will cover low-shedding materials, surface treatments, advanced filtration technologies for appliances and wastewater systems, monitoring and detection solutions, and nature-based interventions for pollutant capture. Emphasis is placed on water circularity, reuse strategies, and component-level innovation that prevents fiber dispersion at the source.

Target audience: Textile producers, water utilities, appliance manufacturers, researchers.

The list of pitching companies will be announced at the beginning of February 2026.
