Trastic GmbH is an Austrian SME based in Villach that turns 100 % recycled plastic waste into premium, durable interior and exterior design solutions, including furniture panels and custom sustainable materials. Founded in 2020, Trastic uses advanced upcycling processes to transform plastic waste into high‑quality, customizable products for commercial, residential, and architectural applications, helping brands and designers embed sustainability into their offerings.

Their approach tackles plastic pollution and climate impact by preventing waste from being burned or landfilled and avoiding associated greenhouse gas emissions — in some cases saving up to more than three tonnes of CO₂ emissions per tonne of recycled plastic used.

Trastic’s products are designed for water‑ and UV‑resistance, durability, and circular material use, making them suitable for interiors, exteriors, kitchens, bathrooms, façades and more — offering a scalable alternative to conventional composites and wood.

The company engages in innovation projects such as Flake‑and‑Print, exploring ways to integrate recycled plastic flakes and granulates into 3D‑printed elements and complex design components, further extending the lifecycle of recycled materials and opening new avenues for low‑emission production.
