Based in Montpellier, France, Ecocean is an ecological engineering company dedicated to restoring aquatic biodiversity, particularly in port and urban environments.

For more than 23 years, Ecocean has been developing and deploying innovative, scientifically validated solutions to enhance the ecological functions of artificial infrastructure, particularly in urban-port interfaces and urban biodiversity issues. Through the installation of nursery habitats (Biohut® range), restocking operations using wild larvae (BioRestore solution), and floating wetland solution(vegetated rafts), the company provides operational solutions to port managers, local authorities, and developers, promoting the integration of biodiversity into their projects. In addition to its ecological restoration activities, Ecocean also offers awareness-raising initiatives (educational workshops, city-port educational trails) aimed at promoting environmental projects and improving understanding of the challenges facing aquatic ecosystems. Operating in France and internationally (currently in more than 20 countries), Ecocean works on both existing infrastructure and new developments, and continues to develop new solutions adapted to different maritime and continental contexts.
