Green Dada Initiative

Green Dada Initiative (GDI) is a community-based organization based in Geita, Tanzania, focused on climate change education and girls’ empowerment. The organization works with girls and youth aged 16-35 to build environmental awareness, promote sustainable practices, and support school retention through solutions such as reusable sanitary pads. GDI engages communities through training, mentorship, and local climate action projects that address environmental challenges such as waste, deforestation, and the impacts of mining. Our mission is to create environmentally responsible and resilient communities where girls and young people can thrive
