IAPMEI mission is to promote competitiveness and business growth, ensuring support for the design, implementation and evaluation of policies aimed at industrial activity, with a view to strengthening innovation, entrepreneurship and business investment in companies operating in areas under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy and Territorial Cohesion, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, with the exception of the tourism sector and the monitoring responsibilities in this area assigned to the Directorate-General for Economic Activities.
