The need for the project arises from the need to reduce the quantity of non-recyclable waste, the need is therefore to enhance capacity and strengthen the circular economy through Innovation, Research, Repair and above all Reuse.
Many Italian municipalities, in collaboration with the regions and private bodies, have created examples of innovation and attention to recovery by creating real centers of awareness, art and sharing. The project follows one of the formats already in operation, also exported abroad; open a creative recycling center, which can put the interested bodies in communication in order to create a circuit that supports the reduction of the quantity of waste to be disposed of and raises awareness of environmental problems both among citizens and school groups who will be involved in workshops and events.
An Atelier where from the recovery of waste destined for disposal, furniture and furnishing objects are given new life, assembling and restoring, creating real artistic elements. Artalo wants to manage the first creative recycling center in this area, in the Lazio Region.

The partnership network is partly already established, for example with TRASLOCOSE srl, a company that immediately made itself available for close collaboration. Furthermore, the possibility of collaboration with the surrounding municipalities is being verified, as the project would aim to establish the first pilot in the area of the municipalities of Cerveteri and Ladispoli.
The objective of the project is to reduce the quantity of non-recyclable waste, to assist in a circuit, where every actor in the context of the move can collaborate responsibly so that waste material is reduced to a minimum. A venue for training activities, workshops, seminars and events for the dissemination of good practices of environmental sustainability and circular economy, which can count on the daily commitment of ITER and the collaboration and work of many people, bodies and institutions. Through the reduction of the use of resources, degradation and pollution in the entire production cycle.
Artalo intends to promote a new model of sustainable development and aims to become a point of reference for the young generations, in harmony with the great attention of the current moment towards the defense of the Planet.
For sustainable growth, aimed at economic, social, environmental and territorial sustainability. It will also offer a notable development of the circular economy in the area, lifting the work, spaces and expenses of the ecological islands, easing municipal disposal costs, eliminating accumulations of bulky waste, as well as a reduction in the costs of the private sector having to dispose of it and consequently greater profitability for the actors involved. Furthermore, it will create new jobs that can also be reconciled with welcoming women victims of violence. Another positive effect is to raise people's awareness of recovering and still obtaining an excellent product at a lower expense, thus reducing production costs and pollution.
