D-CRBN is a climate tech company providing industrial solutions to mitigate carbon emissions. We recycle captured CO2 and split it into carbon monoxide (CO) thanks to our proprietary plasma-based technology. This Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) process creates new value-added products such as e-fuels, polymers, and chemicals. We offer one of the most profitable, sustainable, and flexible CO2 recycling solutions to the petrochemical, steel industry, and maritime transport. In other words, we turn a harmful gas causing climate change into a business opportunity.

About me

I consider myself as a tech entrepreneur, active in the domain of plasma technology. In 2013, I finished a PhD in chemical engineering at the University of Brussels.

After my PhD, I was responsible for a spin-off trajectory of plasma coating technology from a Flemish research institution called VITO (Flemish Institute for Technological Research) in Belgium.

This spin-off, ‘Molecular Plasma Group’, was founded in September 2017 in Luxembourg, where I started as Technology Director and where I was responsible for scaling plasma technology from a lab environment towards industry.

In 2021, I co-founded another green tech company, ‘D-CRBN’ (pronounced DECARBON), utilizing plasma to split CO2 in its original building blocks. It is a dream come true, to support D-CRBN on its mission to create a net zero emission society.
