Applied R&D in 3D Printing and Reverse Engineering

Head of the Research and Development Department at Development and Training Centre for the Metal Industry - Metal Centre Čakovec

Čakovec, Croatia

About

Metal Centre Čakovec provides 3D printing, reverse engineering and IoT development for industrial clients. We work with metal and polymer 3D printers (including EOS M290 and industrial FDM) and support design and redesign of parts for production.

We perform 3D optical scanning with the ATOS 5 system and use this data for precise measurement, quality control and creation of CAD models. This includes reproducing worn or undocumented parts and modifying existing designs.

Our IoT Department develops custom hardware, firmware and cloud solutions for monitoring, control and automation of machines and production lines. We connect sensors and equipment, collect and analyse data, and build dashboards to improve efficiency and maintenance planning.

Besides commercial projects, we participate in national and EU R&D projects and run specialised trainings in additive manufacturing and digitalisation of metal processing.
