About
Primary Objectives:
To quantitatively and spatially map the accumulation of selected heavy metals (e.g., Hg, Pb, Cd, Al, As) and micro/nanoplastics in specific brain regions affected in neurodegenerative diseases.
Secondary Objectives:
• To compare pollutant accumulation patterns between disease groups and controls
• To identify co-localization of pollutants with neuropathological hallmarks (Aβ, tau, α-synuclein, TDP-43)
• To assess regional vulnerability to environmental pollutants in the human brain
