Within the scope of the call, the ceramic drying process (25–95 °C) can be considered a highly relevant low-temperature, continuous industrial operation for the integration of renewable-based heat and electrification solutions. Potential project activities may include the demonstration of hybrid configurations combining waste heat recovery, high-efficiency heat pumps, thermal energy storage and smart energy management, aiming to significantly reduce fossil-based energy use in ceramic drying processes. Such solutions could be validated in a real industrial environment, with the ambition to achieve more than 20% system-level GHG emission reduction while maintaining product quality and process stability. The exact technical focus and system configuration will be defined during the project development phase in line with consortium expertise and call objectives.

Eczacıbaşı Building Products (EBP) can contribute as a key industrial partner by providing a real ceramic drying production line (25–95 °C) for the demonstration of renewable-based and hybrid low-temperature heat solutions. EBP can the integration and validation of waste heat recovery, heat pump-based electrification and thermal energy storage technologies, ensuring stable product quality and continuous operation. Through detailed energy and CO₂ performance assessment, EBP will demonstrate more than 20% system-level GHG reduction and support the replicability and industrial uptake of the developed solutions across the European ceramic sector.
