European Call for Proposals: Translating Disruptive New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) into Practice
EEN East of France coordinator at CCI Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
DIJON, France
About
This EIC AIC challenge supports the deployment of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) to replace or reduce animal testing in health.
It targets mature deep-tech projects (TRL ~4) aiming to reach application validations (TRL 6-7).
Expected technologies include organoids, organs-on-chips, digital twins, modeling AI, and other human-relevant approaches.
Funding is divided into two stages: initial short-term support to de-risk the concept, followed by larger funding for industrialization.
Projects must involve end-users and address concrete adoption needs.
The goal is to accelerate the translation of NAMs into real use cases in biotherapies and regenerative medicine.
The program encourages partnerships between startups, laboratories, industries, and regulators.
It aims to modernize R&D pipelines while enhancing safety, predictability, and ethics.
Candidates also benefit from EIC’s business acceleration services.
A key lever to position Europe at the forefront of human-relevant biotechnologies.
