Latitude40 solar tracker

About
Solar panels generate more electricity when the sunlight strikes the panel at a right angle. The flaw of standard UK panels is that they are fixed in position and do not track the seasonal or daily movement of the sun. Solar trackers have been designed to solve this problem and optimise energy production – they can increase energy generation by up to 30%. Up until now, the existing single-axis solutions in the market are not commercially successful above 40 degrees latitude, leaving most of Europe and North America without a commercial tracking solution.
Latitude40:
- Reduces loading by 90% in comparison to competing dual-axis trackers and eliminates bending forces in harsh weather conditions.
- Standard dual-axis trackers require large concrete foundations whereas the Latitude40 dual-axis tracker features a tripod design that can be quickly and easily installed using piles or screw piles which are also more environmentally friendly. Our patented design significantly reduces costs, simplifies and speeds up installation by reducing the ecological impact for planning and eliminates the need for concrete.
- Traditional dual-axis solar trackers often involve complex installation processes that require extra training for solar installers and additional equipment or methods. By contrast, the Latitude40 tracker features lightweight components that are simple to assemble, offering a straightforward approach that allows any qualified solar installer to complete installation quickly and easily, without specialised methods or tools.
