Microalgae leather-like material

Bloom Biotech develops a microalgae-based leather alternative designed specifically for fashion and accessories applications. Our material is produced as thin or thick, flexible sheets that can be cut, stitched and finished much like traditional leather - but with a radically lower resource use and emission profile.

Primary applications we focus on:

– Handbags & bag panels: outer shells, flaps and gussets for structured or semi-soft bags

– Small leather goods: wallets, cardholders, key holders, pouches and watch straps

– Footwear & components: sneaker panels, trims and accessories (e.g. logos, patches)

– Tech & lifestyle accessories: laptop sleeves, tablet covers and protective cases
