Mladen Sukalo

Throughout my decades-long career in the tourism sector, I have acquired extensive knowledge and skills in project management, destination management, sustainable tourism development, marketing, event management, and public relations. In addition to my formal education, which includes a degree in geography and tourism and a master’s in economics, I have gained a range of additional competencies and expertise through informal training both domestically and internationally.

From 1999 to 2004, I volunteered with a non-governmental organization focused on environmental protection, particularly in the area of sustainable tourism development. Since 2004, I have been employed at the Banja Luka Tourist Board as an Independent Expert Associate, specializing in tourism development, project planning, and implementation, as well as tourist promotion. I have authored and coordinated numerous successful projects and publications, including Eco workshops and eco camps, Kozara Ethno, Vrbas Adventure Resort, Banja Luka Rural Tourism, and Promoting Sustainable Development of Kozara, among others. In recognition of my contributions, I am honored to hold the title of Tourist Guide of Honor for the Republic of Srpska.
