The use of different kinds of waste, bio-waste in asphalt mixtures
Post Doctoral Researcher at Aalto University
Espoo, Finland
About
The aim of the research is to develop innovative asphalt concrete mixtures using biowaste that will reduce CO₂ emissions, decrease resource consumption, increase road durability, and generate cost savings. The project aims to develop scalable technologies for sustainable road construction in northern and temperate climates, evaluate their economic and environmental effectiveness, systematize the interaction of biomaterials with binders and fillers, and facilitate knowledge sharing within the European scientific community. The project will study the chemical, physical, mechanical, and environmental properties of biomaterials, develop methods for their modification, and conduct laboratory and field tests.
