Investment in circular candle-waste recycling

Wachswandel UG is a German circular-economy company developing a scalable collection and recycling system for candle and grave-light waste.

Unlike conventional candle-wax collection schemes that depend on relatively clean input material, Wachswandel accepts mixed and contaminated residues, including grave lights with plastic cups and metal lids. The material is separated into reusable fractions such as wax, plastics, aluminium and steel.

The model has already been validated in practice. Wachswandel currently operates 51 collection bins across more than 30 partner sites, including cemeteries, churches, retailers and other organisations. The company has also established first B2B sales of recovered wax and is preparing the next stage of industrial and geographic scaling.

We are now looking for investment partners to support the transition from the current operational setup to a scalable circular infrastructure.

Investment will support the expansion of:

• the decentralised collection network
• logistics and collection infrastructure
• processing capacity
• B2B market development and industrial partnerships
• digitalisation and scalable operating processes

Wachswandel combines environmental impact with a commercially scalable model: additional collection points increase access to secondary raw materials, while recovered wax and other material fractions are returned to economic use instead of being lost through disposal.

We are particularly interested in discussions with impact investors, business angels, strategic industrial investors and circular-economy partners who can contribute capital, market access or industry expertise.
