About me
Darija was born in 1970. Since 2016, she is the head of the section for EU funds; professional and development projects with economy in the Rectorate of the University of J.J. Strossmayer in Osijek.In 1996, she completed the “Entrepreneurship” graduate study, and in 2003 she received her master's degree at the "Entrepreneurship" postgraduate study of the Faculty of Economics in Osijek, University of J. J. Strossmayer in Osijek. She is currently in the final phase of her research work, i.e., the preparation of her doctoral dissertation at the postgraduate interdisciplinary University study "Entrepreneurship and innovation" at the mentioned faculty. Since 1995, she worked in management positions in the entrepreneurial and corporate sector such as: sales manager in domestic and foreign markets, key account sales manager and regional sales manager. In these positions, she gained extensive experience in managing people and work processes in various circumstances. Since 2007, she managed the Center for entrepreneurship in Osijek, managed the business of consulting, mentoring and education in entrepreneurship, as well as application and implementation of the EU projects. Within the work of the center, she achieved intensive cooperation with the entrepreneurial, public and non-profit sector.
Since 2000, she is actively involved in the work of a dozen non-profit organisations. During her current work, she continuously develops cooperation between the University and the non-profit sector, with the aim of improving the quality of life in the community. The transfer of acquired knowledge and skills is complemented by constant personal and professional development through lifelong learning programs. such as "NLP techniques for better efficiency”, "Workplace wellness"," Mindfulness – mental training " and many other programs that complement Darija’s work and contribute to her personal and professional development. Her most recent achievement has been participating in the neurolinguistic programming program, and obtaining a certificate for an NLP trainer.
