Aurel - Mihail ȚÎȚU is Professor at "Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu (ULBS), the Faculty of Engineering, the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, and a PhD supervisor at National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharest in the fundamental field of Engineering Sciences, namely ENGINEERING and MANAGEMENT, co-founder of this field at National University of Science and Technology POLITEHNICA Bucharestalong with two other fellow professors (2017). He has gone through all the stages in his didactic training, from the very first position of a university tutor (1995), to the top position of university professor (2007).

He is a PATLIB Expert accredited by the European Patent Office (EPO) (2021), Intellectual Property Expert (2010) and Designated Ambassador of Innovation for Europe and Asia (2010) with accreditation obtained through exams promoted at the European Patent Office (EPO) and World Organization of Intellectual Property (WIPO) from Geneva; Since 2010, he is director of the Regional Center for Promotion of Industrial Property Protection at Romania Office for State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM) and EPO (PATLIB Center of Sibiu).

Since 2007 he is President of the Romanian Association for Alternative Technologies in Sibiu (A.R.T.A. Sibiu), a professional association with accredited research activity at ministry level and also Vice-president of Romanian Association of Nonconventional Technologies Romania with Headquarters in Timisoara and President of the Romanian Association for Nonconventional Technologies, Sibiu branch.

He is an active corresponding member of the Romanian Academy of Scientists (AOSR) Brașov Branch, co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Nonconventional Technologies Review, Editor of Management of Sustainable Development Review, Editor and co-founder of the Journal of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Control and Computer Science", Associate Editor of the “International Journal of Mechatronics and Applied Mechanics” and Member of the Editorial and Scientific Committee at a number of prestigious International Journals and Conferences in Romania, several countries in the European Union, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Russia, Switzerland, China, Vietnam, Taiwan, etc. He is the Scientific Secretary of the Romanian Academic Society of Management, Sibiu branch and General Secretary of the China Center Association in Romania.

In 2016, he founded the first Scientific Workshop in the field of Intellectual Property Protection in Romania at “Lucian Blaga” University in Sibiu. He is a Member of the International Association of Engineers of ASIA, IAENG, card no. 11873. He founded in 2004 and coordinated as director the Department of Intellectual Property Protection at “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu (2004-2016). Since 2006 he is an Active Member of the German Association of Engineers (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure) VDI Germany and is one of the global promoters of invention and innovation.

Aurel - Mihail ȚÎȚU holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering (1999) and Management Economics (2007), and is Doctor Honoris Causa since 2019.
