About

Nord University is a young university with strong regional ties and a global perspective.

Nord University was established on 1 January 2016 as a result of a fusion between the University of Nordland, Nesna University College and Nord-Trøndelag University College.

The university has 11 300 students and 1400 employees at study locations Bodø, Levanger, Steinkjer, Stjørdal, Mo i Rana, Namsos, Nesna and Vesterålen.

Nord University is committed to delivering relevant educational programmes and research, with a focus on blue and green growth, innovation and entrepreneurship, and welfare, health and education.

The university has leading research communities within aquaculture, biosciences, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Nord University has established collaborations with international partners around the globe. The university admits international students from around the world and supports a lively and diverse student community.
