Industry Days: Spaceport digital and maintenance opportunities

ESA in collaboration with the French space agency CNES invite space and non-space companies from ESA Member States to support the continued digital modernization and extraordinary maintenance activities at Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana, the Centre Spatial Guyanais (CSG).

The Centre Spatial Guyanais (CSG), Europe’s Spaceport, is central, with Ariane 6 and Vega-C, to Europe's autonomous, guaranteed and available access to space: it is key to ensure the CSG Range is operational with state-of-the-art facilities, assets, and resources to support ESA missions and ensure their success while meeting societal needs, like environmental sustainability.

On the 3rd and 4th of June, ESA in collaboration with CNES will be hosting a hybrid in-person and online event to present upcoming activities at the Spaceport. The in-person event will be hosted by ESA’s Directorate of Space Transportation at ESA Headquarters at 52 Rue Jacques Hillairet, 75012 Paris, France (here) from 9:00–18:00 CEST on both days.

The main themes of the opportunities presented will be investments such as the digital transformation, as well as extraordinary maintenance operations of the CSG Range. High level subjects will include activities related to:

Project management support
Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Digitalisation of operational bypass file (DIO).
SMART-GRID (HTA network upgrading; Battery Energy Storage System; Scheduler; Electrical control room).
Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).
STAR45 antenna renewal.

Further to the informative nature of the event, there will be a businesss-to-business element where both online and in-person attendees will be able to connect and discuss consortiums and cooperation relative to the upcoming CSG activities.

If both meeting partners are onsite the B2B meetings are arranged face-to-face.
If one or both meeting partners stay remote the meetings are automatically scheduled as video calls using the integrated video call feature. Space is made available on-site for both the in-person and hybrid calls.
