Looking for Partners to venture "Near-Field Real-time EMI Scanner Array"
Doctoral Researcher at Tomas Bata University in Zlin
Zlín, Czech Republic
About
We’re trying to build a modular, tile-based near-field real-time EMI scanner array that turns hours of manual probing into minutes of actionable, quantitative heatmaps. It combines array-speed with sub-mm sampling (≈0.83–2.5 mm) and broadband coverage (LF to multi-GHz; optional 18–40 GHz overlay), with on-board DDC/DSP (RTSA-class) processing—no external analyzer required. Each 100×100 mm tile is per-pixel calibrated for repeatability across benches and design spins.
Who benefits
-
Space avionics & payload teams needing fast, localized EMI diagnosis.
-
EMC labs increasing bench-top throughput and improving bench↔chamber correlation.
-
RF/high-speed digital design teams compressing debug cycles and de-risking certification.
Why now / differentiation
-
Incumbents trade speed vs. detail: robotic scanners are precise but slow; arrays are fast but coarse/narrow.
-
Our approach delivers array-speed + fine detail, integrated acquisition, and PSF-aware super-resolution in higher SKUs.
Stage, traction & roadmap
-
Current: IRL/TRL 2 with documented concept; progressing to MVP tile and per-pixel calibration during incubation.
-
Early access & feedback: pursuing LoIs with NXP Semiconductors (Rožnov, CZ) and CEBIA Tech EMC Lab, UTB Zlín (p. 2).
-
ESA BIC CZ: applying; product is “space-inclusive” with clear spin-in value.
Business model & pricing
Hardware + software + services with three SKUs: Base ~$35k, Pro ~$50k, Ultra ~$80k; recurring revenue from calibration, training, and support. Target ~65% gross margin, and break-even by Year 4 under our conservative plan.
What we’re looking for
-
Equity co-investors / grant co-funders to complete MVP and pilot units (planned $700k–$1.1M across Y1–Y2; no debt).
-
Pilot partners (space electronics, EMC labs) for evaluation deployments.
-
Manufacturing partners (HDI PCB, LTCC/HTCC, SiP) and channel collaborators across EU.
Stage
- Seed and Development
