EMC and SI-PI related to PCB Design

Doctoral Researcher at Tomas Bata University in Zlin

About

I’m a PCB/Systems Engineer focused on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and signal/power integrity (SI-PI) for high-reliability, safety-critical systems—especially in mobility and automotive domains. At Tomáš Bata University (CEBIA-Tech) I’m a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Researcher in the PARASOL network, developing active shielding methods that harden electronics against interference while aligning with Safe- and Sustainable-by-Design principles. Day-to-day, I profile sensitive frequencies, craft mitigation strategies, and validate them end-to-end: simulation in CST Studio Suite, rapid prototyping, and rigorous EMC lab testing in collaboration with the University of York (UK) and NXP Semiconductors (CZ). parasol-project.eu

What I bring to projects:

  • EMC-driven PCB architecture (stack-ups, return-path control, stitching/fencing, filtering, shielding)

  • SI-PI best practices (controlled impedance, length/phase matching, PDN design, and decoupling strategy)

  • Pre-compliance thinking to reduce redesign loops and de-risk certification

  • Clear documentation of design rationales and trade-offs for cross-functional teams

Previously, my work spanned automotive electronics and control, including published research on eco-driving optimization during my master’s studies, and a DAAD-supported fellowship—experience that grounds my engineering in both theory and practical constraints. I’m open to collaborations where EMC/SI-PI rigor and first-time-right board outcomes matter.
