About
Clorofilab offers an ultra-light fog-based growing system designed for sustainable food production in space and other resource-limited environments.
Unlike traditional hydroponic and aeroponic systems, which require heavy water tanks, pumps, and complex nutrient-control systems, our technology transforms nutrient-rich water into a fine mist using ultrasonic atomizers. This allows plants to absorb water and nutrients efficiently while drastically reducing mass and maintenance requirements.
For space applications, this technology provides major benefits:
-
At least 50 times lighter than hydroponic or aeroponic systems → significant launch-cost reduction.
-
No complex sensors or mixing loops → minimal astronaut time needed for supervision.
-
Self-stabilizing and easy to use → no special expertise required for plant care.
Clorofilab’s modular fogponic system enables reliable, low-resource plant growth for future habitats, orbital platforms, and lunar or Martian missions — while also improving agricultural efficiency here on Earth.
