MoonDUST software for lunar dust contamination
CEO at CIM-lab by CIM-mes

About
MoonDUST is software developed for ESA that can predict contamination with lunar dust after landing on the Moon. It simulates the plume-dust interaction, including complex physics related to supersonic flow, dust particle collisions, electrostatics and particle-surface interaction functions.
The provided results can reduce uncertainties related to lunar dust contamination, thereby increasing the understanding of different parameters.
The use of this tool enables more robust and efficient designs capable of coping with the harsh lunar environment.
MoonDUST can also be used for other lunar operations, e.g., airlocks, internal dust flows in habitats and Martian conditions.
