About
AirSAT is Stars Edge’s next-generation Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) satellite platform, engineered for high-performance missions at 100–150 km altitude. Designed for agility, efficiency and sustainability, AirSAT enables satellites to fly closer to Earth for sharper imagery, faster data transfer and reduced mission costs.
The platform integrates advanced electric propulsion, aerodynamic optimisation and intelligent on-orbit autonomy to maintain stable orbits despite high atmospheric drag. AirSAT supports missions in Earth observation, telecommunications, climate monitoring and defence, offering superior resolution, low latency and dynamic manoeuvrability compared to traditional LEO systems.
Compact, lightweight and highly versatile, the platform reduces launch mass and overall mission expenditure, while paving the way for in-orbit refuelling and long-duration VLEO operations. AirSAT delivers a new era of accessible, sustainable and high-value services in space, making cutting-edge orbital performance achievable for governments, industry and emerging space innovators.
