PCDU (Power Conditioning and Distribution Unit)

Spherical’s Power Conditioning and Distribution Unit (PCDU) brings satellite power systems into the modern era. Designed with vertically integrated semiconductor technology, the PCDU delivers best-in-class reliability, flexibility, and performance.

Our in-house designed chips combine CMOS integration, wide-bandgap power devices, and high-speed digital control to achieve up to 5× higher power density and excellent transient response. The architecture offers full software-defined voltage and current control, complete TMTC observability, and optional firmware integration for AIT environments.

The system features single-fault-free architecture, radiation tolerance (100 krad / 62.5 MeV), and built-in anomaly detection for unmatched reliability. Each unit supports configurable power classes from 0.3 kW to 15 kW, suitable for missions ranging from small satellites to GEO platforms.

By combining advanced semiconductor design with digital control techniques, Spherical ensures superior reliability, GEO-level performance, and long-term mission assurance, powering the software-defined satellite of the future.
