CU Mehrweg is raising a €3M Seed round to scale its smart, standardized reusable packaging system for the food industry.

We’ve already validated our model through multiple pilot projects in 2025 with major retailers like REWE and EDEKAand trusted food brands such as Seeberger, Bohlsener Mühle, Müller’s Mühle, and Sunflower Family. A major confectionery brand joins this summer. These successful pilots — running from Q1 to Q3 — have led manufacturers to plan national listings across all major retail chains. This market momentum is attracting additional brands eager to join the CU reuse system.

Our “Reuse as a Service” model integrates seamlessly into existing deposit infrastructure (Pfandautomaten), covering everything from packaging supply to reverse logistics, cleaning, and a smart tracking platform.

With over €1M in Pre-Seed funding and public grants already secured, we’re now seeking €3M to:

• Expand our team in sales, operations, and tech

• Scale production and develop packaging innovations

• Support retail rollout and manufacturer onboarding

• Strengthen our tech platform for digital pooling and reporting

Regulatory pressure is rising: the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is setting binding reuse targets and accelerating industry demand.
