Wheely-go Urban – Self-service shared mobility for people with reduced mobility

CEO at WHEELY-GO. ST Sensor Data, SL

Girona, Spain

About

Cities have shared bikes, scooters and cars, but people with reduced mobility are left out. In Spain, 16% of people aged 15+ have difficulty walking 500 metres (ENSE 2017), yet very few own a wheelchair. Many simply stop going out.

Wheely-go Urban brings the bike-sharing model to inclusive mobility: a network of self-service stations where anyone can borrow a wheelchair, move around the city and return it to any station.

  • Self-service, 24/7: identification with a phone number and a code. No app, no staff.

  • Connected fleet: GNSS + LTE-M/NB-IoT tracking, geofencing, anti-theft alarm.

  • Modular stations with integrated canopy, from 4 to 50 positions.

  • City dashboard with anonymised usage data and an open API for municipal and MaaS platforms.

  • Aligned with WHO Age-friendly Cities and SDG 11.2 (accessible transport for older people and persons with disabilities).

Built on Wheely-go's validated hospital technology (CE-marked, patent pending). The urban version is now entering pilot phase.

First pilot locations: tourist offices, municipal markets, civic centres, transport hubs and health centres.
