Bağcılar Municipality

Established in 1992, Bağcılar Municipality serves one of Istanbul's most populous and diverse districts, a mosaic city of approximately 713,594 residents. Our vision is "to enhance the quality of life for our people with a human-centric approach, creating a community of hopeful individuals and a strong society."

Our digital transformation journey began in 2000 and has evolved from a Corporate Management Information System to today's AI-Supported and GIS-Based Sustainable Smart City Applications. These projects have enabled all our operations to be conducted electronically, significantly improving service processes. Our citizen-centric AI initiatives have not only enhanced quality of life but also reduced our carbon footprint, transforming our city into a smart city and our administration into a digital municipality.

Our primary goal is to provide citizens with easy, fast, and secure access to public services, promoting digital inclusivity. Tools like our BAGBİ chatbot and AI-Supported Smart Application provide 24/7 access, upholding our principles of transparency, participation, and accountability.

With a high level of digital maturity, our municipality has become a benchmark institution for digital projects in the public sector. We actively share our expertise, providing consultancy to other public bodies to help disseminate institutional knowledge for the public good.
