The Issue of Recycling Waste Gases and Water in Gas and Chemical Plants
Deputy Governor of Guzar district at G'uzor district
Guzar, Uzbekistan
About
There are three large gas and chemical plants located in the Guzor district: the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex, the Shurtan Gas Production Plant, and Uzbekistan GTL LLC. These plants are among the largest in Uzbekistan, and all are situated in Guzor.
A significant amount of technical water is used to maintain the operational processes of these plants, but this water is not currently being recycled. If these wastewater resources were to be treated and reused, it would be possible to establish fertile agricultural lands around the plants.
Additionally, a large volume of flare gas is continuously burned without being utilized. The heat energy generated from these flare gases could be converted into electricity, which could then be supplied to the local population and industrial enterprises.
Brief information about the plants: in total, more than 10,000 people are employed; they extract substantial natural gas reserves; and each plant occupies an area of more than 100 hectares.
