Enhancing UX in charging stations with AI agents

About
Public and semi-public EV charging stations can frustrate some users with multiple menus, unclear steps, and a lack of real-time support. We have equipped our newest chargers with large, high-resolution screens, to take a step forward and transform the charging experience.
We see an opportunity for an AI-powered agent to act as a natural interface between users and our charging system. Beyond static menus, this assistant should enable a voice-first, seamless interaction that guides drivers from plug-in to payment, while delivering relevant, real-time information.
We are seeking solutions that can:
-
Deliver a complete, voice-only charging journey (authentication, charging initiation, payment, charging updates).
-
Act as a context-aware AI agent, capable of adapting to different users and handling varied use cases — not just scripted Q&A.
-
Provide reliable, real-time information, including charging status, troubleshooting, and potentially nearby services.
-
Ensure accessibility and inclusivity, supporting multiple languages and diverse user needs.
-
Be scalable, secure, and cost-efficient, with smooth integration into existing hardware/software stacks.
We invite start-ups, research labs, and established companies to propose breakthrough solutions that can redefine the user experience of EV charging and set a new standard in the industry.
