I am Paul Abayomi Jeremiah (also known as Paul Abayomi Jimoh), a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I am the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Millennial Solutions LLC, and Co-developer of the Kick Out Malaria program.
I am an award-winning social entrepreneur, experienced teacher, children’s author, and early learning innovator with over 20 children’s titles to my name.
My foray into social impact work started after graduating from high school in the year 2003, when I was selected to represent my local council in a training program as a primary healthcare specialist to raise awareness about communicable and infectious diseases and educate local communities on contraception as an effective method of family planning. Later, I picked up a job as an early-grade teacher for 8 years, during which period I also authored over 20 storybook titles to address the inadequacy of supplementary reading materials in the classroom, which was the main cause of poor reading culture among African children. I strongly believe in this common saying: “A reader is a leader.” I wanted to raise informed leaders with my children’s titles. Fortunately, some of my book titles were adopted for use in public schools in Nigeria.
To advance my passion, I founded Wemimo House Enterprises in the year 2011, under which I initiated and implemented some social impact programs, including:
SOYES - a program that recruited and trained over 1,000 participants, mostly youths, in Lagos local communities on basic computer skills, web presence for their local businesses, and business development, in partnership with a faith-based organization, from 2011 to 2014.
OneSkool (aka 1School) - a finalist in a pan-African program called Apps4Africa 2012 sponsored by the United States Department of State, OneSkool was proposed to build a unified quality learning platform for Africans and the world.
Lead-A-Leap project – a participant in the Youth in Social Enterprise Conference organized by LEAP Africa and sponsored by Microsoft Nigeria (2013); an After-school Graduate Development Center (AGDC)’s Ignite Idea Contest winner (2015); and a Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF)’s Lagos Innovates workplace voucher beneficiary (2019) – Lead-A-Leap started as a project to enhance children’s learning in the classroom and improve their learning outcomes through the production and distribution of quality learning materials to early-grade schools and teachers’ capacity development.
Local Talents Development Company (DBA LokalTalents) – a Microsoft BizSpark alumnus, LokalTalents is the Answer to AI, drones, and robots taking over human jobs. It is a platform helping local content creators showcase their raw talents to the world, build a fan base, and get support for their works or projects. Since 2017, LokalTalents has been a member of LOT Network, a community of 5,000+ global industry leaders who have collaboratively immunized themselves against lawsuits from Patent Assertion Entities.
In recognition of my social impact project, I was selected for some awards, namely:
Actualidad’s “Platinum Eagle for Prestige and Quality - Europe 2011”.
Europe Business Assembly’s “Best Enterprise of Europe” and “Best Manager of the Year 2012”.
Nigerian Top Executives in the Human Resources Industry 2015 Publication and Ratings’ “Excellence Award”, in which I was also featured and rated in the top 9 percent of all Nigerian executives based on the company size and international business network strength in a book published by the award organizer.
With a keen eye for quality output, I garnered relevant experience in the printing industry as a quality control officer while working with a contractor that produced the works of some of Africa’s finest authors. I am a development and operations (DevOps) expert, and a self-taught computer game developer and user interface/experience (UI/UX) designer. I believe in human abilities to thrive amidst technological advancements, and I am constantly working to harness technological advancements for humanity.
