GRANDE MAISON

In the heart of Monbazillac, on a hill overlooking the banks of the

Dordogne and the historic town of Bergerac, the organic wines

of exception of Château Grande Maison have been produced for

decades, and biodynamique wines since 2018.

We produce Bergerac wine (red wine, dry white and rosé) and Monbazillac (sweet wine)

The thirteenth century fortified house has a unique environment :

- Overall exposure is south facing on more or less accentuated

hills.

- The lake at the heart of the property offers an exceptional asset

to promote botrytis, the fungus that creates the uniqueness and

richness of Monbazillac

- The soil is clay-limestone with silica in places that gives a certain

acidity.

Of the 14 hectares of vineyards that make up the estate, 10

hectares are white (60% Semillon, 25% Sauvignon Blanc, 15%

Muscadelle) and 4 are red (Merlot 90% Cabernet Franc, Malbec).

We harvest by hand for all wines
