Appellation: Grand Cru Kaefferkopf - blend of 75% Gewurztraminer, 10% Riesling, 10% Pinot Gris and 5% Muscat.

Terroir:

An exceptional Grand Cru from a unique Alsace terroir combining granite and marl.

The only Grand Cru that allows blending, it offers an intense, full-bodied and structured aromatic signature with great ageing potential.

Tasting notes:

Deep, brilliant gold colour, sometimes with warm golden highlights.

Intense and expressive bouquet of flowers (rose, acacia) and ripe & exotic fruits (mango, pineapple, mirabelle plum).

Full-bodied and generous attack, with good concentration.

Persistent fruity and spicy aromas on the palate, supported by sufficient freshness for balance.Enveloping texture, sometimes creamy, always elegant with a long finish.

Ageing: 4 to 8 years

Serving and storage temperature: 8°C to 10°C

Food pairing: Excellent with foie gras, snails, exotic or spicy cuisine, mature cheeses, but also desserts.
