Riesling raised in Acacia barrel 2024 - Dry
Winemaker at Vins Schaffhauser
Wettolsheim, France
About
Winemaking:
One of Alsace's noble grape varieties, Riesling is a grape variety that knows how to be discreet, to the benefit of the stones from which it draws its aromatics. Maturing for 1 to 3 years in acacia wood barrels gives it delicate tannins, combined with the liveliness of complete sugar fermentation.
Tasting:
The slightly woody nose is dominated by notes of acacia flowers with a hint of honey. On the palate, the freshness of the Riesling blends with the aromas of the barrel. The result is a wine seductive thanks to its originality, liveliness and length.
Wine and food pairing:
If you're a dry wine lover, don't hesitate to enjoy it at any time of day. It also goes well with seafood or goat's cheese, such as a Valençay pyramid.
