About
BukaTech is an R&D-oriented engineering and technology company specializing in the development of autonomous and unmanned robotic systems. Since its establishment, the company has focused on designing and implementing robotic platforms capable of operating in challenging and dynamic environments, particularly in marine, environmental, and disaster response contexts.
BukaTech’s initial R&D activities began with robotic systems designed for the cleanup of liquid pollutants on the sea surface, including oil, fuel, lubricants, and mucilage. Over time, the company expanded its technological capabilities to develop multi-mission unmanned platforms, integrating advanced mechanical design, embedded systems, control software, and real-time communication technologies.
Today, BukaTech develops autonomous surface, underwater, amphibious, and ground robotic systems addressing a wide range of applications such as marine pollution cleanup (both liquid and solid waste), underwater inspection and damage assessment, environmental monitoring, and amphibious search-and-rescue operations during disaster scenarios. All platforms are designed with a strong emphasis on operational reliability, modularity, and sustainability, enabling effective deployment under harsh environmental conditions.
In parallel with robotic platform development, BukaTech conducts R&D on communication and coordination technologies for unmanned systems. These efforts include multi-robot communication architectures, distributed decision-making, situational awareness, and swarm robotics concepts that allow multiple robotic platforms to operate collaboratively and adaptively in real-world environments.
Within international research and innovation programs such as Horizon Europe and MSCA Staff Exchanges, BukaTech aims to act as a strong industrial and non-academic partner by contributing applied R&D expertise, real-world testing environments, and industry-driven research challenges. The company is particularly interested in interdisciplinary collaborations that bridge robotics, artificial intelligence, marine technologies, and environmental sustainability, while fostering long-term academia–industry partnerships.
