About
The “Ștefan cel Mare” Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova is the national higher education and professional training institution for law enforcement. It delivers Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programmes, combining academic education with practical skills development for operational roles.
The Academy also functions as a security-focused research and capacity-building centre, working closely with MIA subdivisions and national partners. Through national and international cooperation projects, it contributes to institutional modernisation by developing “soft” outputs (training curricula, manuals, methodologies, research) and supporting “hard” components (educational equipment, labs and infrastructure) that enhance operational readiness and resilience in the security sector.
