About
AUPEX is a non-profit organization founded in 1992. It is the representative body of the 222 Popular Universities of Extremadura, with a presence in the same number of municipalities, offering a space for collective reflection and a variety of services. It is a network for education, culture, and digital transformation. The organization develops various continuing education projects in the areas of culture, education, environmental awareness, civic participation, and digital and social inclusion. One of AUPEX's main projects is the Extremadura Digital Literacy Program, implemented in 75 digital competence centers throughout the region, reaching more than 42,000 users annually. AUPEX's main objective is to contribute to a better society by creating the conditions for equal opportunities for all citizens and empowering individuals in a changing and challenging context to achieve sustainable and inclusive development.
