Globetech Geographical Information Technologies (GGIT) (Turkey) (www.globetech.com.tr) is a GIS-based IT company specializing in the development and implementation of GIS software, Spatial Decision Support Systems (SDSS), Earth Observation & Remote Sensing, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions. Established in 2015 and operating in Ankara, Turkey, GGIT collaborates with academia and industry to deliver innovative solutions in Risk Mitigation, Disaster Management, Field Management, and Agricultural Monitoring. GGIT’s expertise spans several areas (1) Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Spatial Data Analysis: Leveraging advanced GIS technologies to analyse and visualize spatial data, providing critical insights for sectors such as disaster management, urban planning, and environmental monitoring. (2) Earth Observation & Remote Sensing: Integrating satellite data and drone/UAV imagery to provide real-time environmental monitoring, disaster response, and risk assessment solutions. (3) Disaster Susceptibility & Hazard Analysis: Conducting susceptibility and hazard analyses for natural disasters such as landslides, debris-flow, wildfires, rockfalls, and avalanches.Using spatial data and machine learning models, GGIT generates hazard maps that identify high-hazard areas and support proactive disaster management by assessing the vulnerability of affected regions and the potential impact of hazards. (4) Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence: Utilizing cutting-edge AI and machine learning techniques to develop predictive models for hazard and risk analysis, including vulnerability, hazard, and risk mapping for natural disasters. GGIT has developed a suite of products, including (1) HADES (Map Support System): A robust infrastructure solution for managing corporate systems, including logging, archiving, and process management. (2) MapWings: A platform for drone and UAV imagery processing, producing 2D and 3D spatial data. (3) Risky: A spatial hazard and risk modelling system for disaster risk assessments. (4) GLOBEOS: An Earth Observation platform providing comprehensive monitoring and analysis using satellite data. GGIT has successfully delivered high-impact projects for organizations such as (1) the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD)-the main public body for disaster risk reduction, response, and rehabilitation in Türkiye-where GGIT developed the ARAS (Disaster Risk Mitigation System), (2) İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality-DEZIM (Directorate of Earthquake and Ground Research) and (3) İstanbul Regional Directorate of Forestry, focusing on wildfire risk reduction, hazard analysis systems, and wildfire management systems.
