We empower deep tech founders to address challenges in defence, security, and resilience. We invest independently, with 24 nations supporting our portfolio’s success. Working in partnership with our portfolio companies, other venture funds, and Allied governments, the NIF accelerates deep tech adoption across countries and transforms how nations and businesses work together to face emerging challenges.

NATO DIANA is the Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic, an organisation established by NATO to find and accelerate dual-use innovation capacity across the Alliance. NATO DIANA provides companies with the resources, networks and guidance to develop deep technologies to solve critical defence and security challenges, from operating in denied environments to tackling threats to our collective resilience.

Nine publicly funded Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) jointly form the Netherlands’ gateway for three key pillars: innovation, investment and international growth. They drive business success by connecting entrepreneurs, financing innovative startups and scale-ups, attracting foreign investments to strengthen supply chains, and guiding Dutch firms to global markets. In doing so, they bridge regional potential with global demand to build resilient industries and future-ready ecosystems.

Security Delta (HSD) is the Dutch security cluster. It is a network of 300 businesses, governments and knowledge institutions that work together on innovative security solutions and knowledge development to make our digitising world more secure. The cluster facilitates access to knowledge, innovation, market, capital and talent and therefor serves as an accelerator of the Dutch security ecosystem. The HSD Campus in The Hague is the cluster’s inspiring meeting place.

METIP in Den Helder is an innovation hub where companies, startups, and the Royal Netherlands Navy collaborate on maritime technologies. It fosters ecosystem growth, connects entrepreneurs, supports tech development, facilitates market access, and attracts youth. METIP focuses on defense, digitalization, offshore energy, and maritime logistics, emphasizing sustainability and safety.

The Netherlands is a leading digital economy with a strong infrastructure and high internet security. ICT is vital for economic growth and societal solutions. The rapidly growing sector is one of the country’s Top Sectors, supported by Topsector ICT to foster innovation, cross-sector opportunities, and maintain global digital leadership.

The Netherlands excels in high-tech space solutions. SpaceNed, a non-profit with 55+ members, connects industry, academia, media, and government to drive innovation and growth. Its mission is to strengthen the Dutch space sector and position the Netherlands as a global leader in the competitive space industry.

Quantum Delta NL is a leading European quantum technology ecosystem, advancing innovation through computing, networking, and sensing. With strong collaboration across research, talent, and societal impact, it unites five Dutch hubs—Delft, Amsterdam, Leiden, Eindhoven, and Twente—to drive global quantum progress from a small but highly specialized nation.

TU Delft’s mission is ‘impact for a better society’. Innovation of both technology and policy is needed for Europe to become more resilient in the face of hybrid warfare and a shifting geopolitical landscape. At TU Delft, we research and develop technologies that shape the future of Europe. We have a strong academic track record in areas such as aerospace and maritime engineering, radar, sensing, quantum technology, and (ethical applications of) AI.

The Ministry of Defence includes the Royal Navy, Army, Air Force, Marechaussee, Support Command, and Defence Materiel Organisation. It is led by the Minister of Defence. ONHN is the economic implementation organization of 16 municipalities in North Holland North and the province of North Holland. It supports the region by strengthening entrepreneurs, stimulating innovation and building a robust economic base. InnovationQuarter is the regional economic development agency for the Province of Zuid-Holland. Our mission is to strengthen the regional economic structure by stimulating the innovation potential of this unique delta region. In close collaboration with all major corporations and many SME’s, educational and research institutes as well as government organisations, we align the efforts required to design a brighter tomorrow.

Unknown Campus supports founders that fix the future by building Europe’s largest impact campus. Spanning 100,000 m², the campus offers offices, event space, and testing facilities — like an innovation kitchen and water basins. Through our accredited university, we develop the skills and mindset of founders, and through global partners, we connect solutions to existing ecosystems — to support founders to start and scale their impact solutions.

The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) helps entrepreneurs and organisations to invest, develop and expand their businesses and projects both in the Netherlands and abroad. We are a government agency which is part of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs.

SeaSEC (Seabed Security Experimentation Centre), established under the Northern Naval Capability Cooperation (NNCC), is dedicated to accelerating the development of technologies that improve detection, situational awareness, and protection of subsea infrastructure. The centre fosters collaboration across defence forces, industry leaders, and research institutions to address these challenges.

Unmanned Valley is a campus for unmanned & autonomous systems near The Hague. It unites startups, businesses, academia, and governments within one ecosystem. We organise high-tech events, facilitate research projects, host an incubation programme, offer office and production space, and manage some of Europe’s most active UAS test sites.

DronePort Rotterdam is an innovation hub for autonomous and unmanned systems on land, in the air, and on and underwater. Located in Europe’s largest port, it accelerates real-world drone applications through testing, collaboration, and implementation, advancing safety, security, and dual-use innovation across civil and defence sectors.

The Cybersecurity Living Lab (CSyLL) – part of The Hague University of Applied Sciences and MBO Rijnland - is an experimental working environment where students, researchers, companies, public institutions, and end-users collaborate to develop, test, and evaluate new ideas, products, and services in cybersecurity. Through innovative experiments and research, participants gain practical skills in effectively responding to cyber threats and managing risks.

Aerospace Delta in Zuid-Holland is the Netherlands’ premier aerospace hub and a leading European ecosystem for aviation, space, and drones. Nearly 300 organizations and 10,000 professionals drive innovation here, backed by world-class research, education, and one of Europe’s strongest talent pools in aerospace, defence, dual-use technologies, and security applications.
