About

The Montanaro winery was founded in 1970 in Santo Stefano Belbo, in lower Piedmont, on the Moscato hills—the Langhe, renowned for its Moscato grapes, and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The vineyards are mostly located on steep terrain that requires manual cultivation and embody the heroic agriculture that guarantees quality. Andrea has passionately led the winery with his family since 2006, respecting nature, faithful to tradition, and looking to the future. The Moscato, Chardonnay, Cortese, Pinot Noir, Barbera, and Dolcetto grape varieties are cultivated with respect for nature and biodiversity, adopting a sustainable approach. In 2023, the Il Masoè brand was launched, with the aim of producing and offering elegant and authentic wines that faithfully express the terroir, such as the Canelli DOCG, a designation introduced that same year.
